Attention all
officials in the EMHA “A” Program – There have been WAY too many
no-shows and late cancellations. It is critical that you show up for all
of your assignments. Failure to do so will result in a fine or removal
from the program for repeat officials. There have also been too many
late cancellations. You must cancel a minimum of 48hrs prior to your
assignment and the cancellation must be done by phone AND email. You
must make every effort to contact your assignor as soon as possible so
that he can replace you in your game. Failure to follow this procedure
will result in lost assignments. We can no longer tolerate officials in
the program who don’t take the hockey and their assignments seriously.
Thank you for your cooperation, the Minor Committee.

"NOTICE
TO ALL CITY of EDMONTON COACHES AND REFEREES" Please note that as
a result of a recent incident and the potential for future
confrontations, at those rinks which have narrow hallways back to the
dressing rooms from the ice, the visiting team will leave the ice first
and be in their dressing room prior to the home team leaving the ice.
It is further recommended that when a game has been played with high
spirits and emotions, the same practice be followed at all arenas,
whether or nor the hallways allow for each team to give the other a wide
berth in making their way to the dressing rooms.
